James Corbett, in his article titled The Worst “Miscalculation” in Human History, reveals the error that has resulted in the draconian response to the alleged COVID-19 “pandemic.” Corbett puts the word “Miscalculation” in quotation marks because he opines:
[T]his is not a “miscalculation.” The gaggle of “health experts” and epidemiologists who have seemingly dictated public policy since this scamdemic began did not (whoopsie!) make a little boo-boo when running the (erroneous) coronavirus statistics through their (flawed) computer models.
No. They deliberately lied in order to whip the public into hysteria over an imaginary bogeyman.
Corbett is referring to Ronald Brown’s, ph.D., discovery that Dr. Fauci and others overstated the death risk from COVID-19. Dr. Brown uncovered the cause for the COVID-19 death risk overstatement by Dr. Fauci. Dr. Brown published an article on August 21, 2020, titled Public Health Lessons Learned From Biases in Coronavirus Mortality Overestimation. In that article, published by Cambridge University Press, Brown revealed a startling discovery about the testimony given by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), before the U.S. Congress on March 11, 2020, about the estimated mortality rate for COVID-19. Fauci testified falsely before Congress that the mortality rate for COVID-19 was ten (10) times greater than the mortality rate for the seasonal flu.
Brown discovered that Dr. Fauci was erroneously comparing the Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) for the seasonal flu with the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) for COVID-19. Both the CFR and IFR report in the numerator those who die from the disease. But they each have different denominators. The difference is that a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) only includes in the denominator those who actually are diagnosed with and have symptoms of the disease, whereas the Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) includes in the denominator cases and undiagnosed, asymptomatic, and mild infections. CFR is a subset of IFR. All cases are infections but not all infections are cases. Thus, there is a greater population of infections than cases. That means that the CFR ratio will always be a larger percentage than the IFR ratio. The graphic below is from Brown’s report and illustrates the difference between the CFR and the IFR.
Dr. Fauci erroneously reported the CFR for the seasonal flu as being .1%. He then stated that the CFR for COVID-19 was 1%. He ominously testified before Congress that simple math reveals that COVID-19 is ten (10) times deadlier than COVID-19. It turns out that Dr. Fauci was reporting the IFR for the seasonal flu and misrepresenting it as the CFR for the seasonal flu. The actual CFR for the seasonal flu is 1%. That is virtually the same as the CFR for COVID-19. Thus, the lethality of COVID-19 is about the same as the seasonal flu. Dr. Fauci’s testimony that COVID-19 is ten (10) times more deadly than the flu was wrong. Brown explained in the conclusion to his article:
Sampling bias in coronavirus mortality calculations led to a 10-fold increased mortality overestimation in March 11, 2020, US Congressional testimony. This bias most likely followed from information bias due to misclassifying a seasonal influenza IFR as a CFR, evident in a NEJM.org editorial. Evidence from the WHO confirmed that the approximate CFR of the coronavirus is generally no higher than that of seasonal influenza.
Even more startling than his discovery is that the media outlets showed no interest in Brown’s discovery. Dr. Brown circulated his article to media outlets worldwide, but nobody was interested. Dr. Brown’s discovery should be headline news throughout the world and relief to everyone, But the mainstream media, who has known about this since August 2020, are keeping it secret from the public. John C. Manley was the only person to respond to Dr. Brown. Manley is not part of the mainstream media but is an independent Canadien journalist fighting the false mainstream media COVID-19 narrative at https://muchadoaboutcorona.ca/
Dr. Brown wrote to Manley:
The subject of this article is disruptive, to say the least, although it is not as obvious from the title. The manuscript cites the smoking-gun, documented evidence showing that the public’s overreaction to the coronavirus pandemic was based on the worst miscalculation in the history of humanity, in my opinion. My manuscript underwent an intensive peer-review process. You are the first media guy who has responded to my invitation.
Ajun Walia, writing for Collective Evolution reported:
Dr. Brown added that CDC and WHO documents show that the case fatality rate for influenza was similar to the coronavirus, implying that the lockdowns were pointless. His paper questions why the 2017-2018 influenza season in the United States did not “receive the same intensive media coverage as COVID-19.”
James Corbett points out that Dr. Brown is not on the fringes of science:
Brown’s assessment lines up with literally thousands of doctors, epidemiologists and microbiologists who have been screaming from the rafters that this entire lockdown fiasco is an anti-scientific disgrace that is itself leading to untold death and destruction, both direct (those dying of untreated non-COVID related medical conditions) and indirect (those losing their livelihoods due to the lockdowns).
These dissenting doctors include:
- The 12 Experts Questioning the Coronavirus Panic identified by off-guaridan.org this past March.
- The 10 MORE Experts Criticising the Coronavirus Panic identified by the same publication a few days later.
- The 500 physicians who signed an open letter to the White House warning that the lockdowns themeselves are a “mass casualty event” of greater significance than the pandemic.
- The 500 physicians who signed a separate open letter stating that “there is no medical justification for any emergency policy anymore.”
